Richard is as mad as a box of frogs but a brilliant host. this is Thai food at its best. don't expect subservient waiters running about after you - Richard will more than look after you whilst Nat will cook you a fantastic meal, all in bizarre but very comfortable & decor. this is truly one of Devon's best kept secrets. unhesitatingly recommended.

Amazingly relaxing in a comfy and accommodating environment
The warmest welcome on arriving. Richard optimises great customer service and nothing is ever too much trouble. The food is absolutely amazing, taste and presentation both equally as good. A good selection of Gins for the connoisseur. All in all such a comfy and relaxing three days away from my busy life. Will be recommending very highly.
Great location, superb atmosphere, impressive room and an exceptional service from Nat & Richard!
Great welcome - even though I was very late getting to the Hotel. Superbly appointed rooms, with the added surprise of a 'spa' bath with relaxing jets - exactly what I needed after nearly 6 hours driving. The breakfast was freshly cooked with to order, with locally sourced ingredients and very tasty! Great conversation with both Nat and Richard not only about the hotel, but about myself and my occupation. This sort of attention you just do not get from chain hotels

Amazing family run hotel - Posted Aug 9, 2019
Amazing family run hotel. Richard and his family really make you feel at home away from home. Food is home-made and out of this world. Stayed for one night but it wasn’t enough. I look forward to coming back for a longer stay in the future. 10 out of 10
Great, Personal service - Posted May 10, 2019
En-route back from West Country, seemed the best pick of the bunch for hotels for a lonely Sales Rep., looking for somewhere close to A303 for an overnight stay. Extremely warm welcome, maybe worryingly so, overly friendly, but, lovely room (Junior Suite). All seemed very average, but having booked dinner for 7pm and invited to the bar for 6.30 for a “menu rundown”, everything changed. Richard was a great host. The menu is 95% Thai, so he was happy to guide guests (some from USA) to their ideal fodder. Clearly, they are very proud of their food, and why? Because it is ridiculously good. Having fallen out of love with Thai food after some bland restaurants, this was a revelation. Flavours, aromas, taste buds wondering what happened. If you want and 8/10 B&B, sure this place can offer that, but it’s secret is the food, and the passion they have for great dining. Richard helps guide the uninitiated through the menu to find your ideal meal, tailoring how much humph you want from an initial “is this Fawlty Towers”? to WOW, all the reviews make sense, welcoming, lovely people. My new favourite stopover.
