Things To Do
There is something to interest everyone within a very short drive of Home Farm, including Honiton, “the gateway to the West Country”, which houses more than 50 antique shops and emporiums. The hotel is also exceptionally well located for those wishing to break their journey to the more westerly parts of the region, including Cornwall.
Home Farm is set within three acres of grounds and located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We would like you to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, but also to use it as a base for more active and energetic pursuits: swimming, riding, tennis, fishing and other sports to be found nearby, as well as exhilarating clifftop walks along the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Golf enthusiasts are also well catered for with six challenging courses within easy reach.
Close at hand are some exceptional National Trust properties such as Killerton and Knightshayes Court. Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstalls famous River Cottage HQ is a mere 15 minutes drive from the hotel. There are other areas of general interest such as wildlife parks, model villages, working museums and farms, abbeys, castles, steam railways, fishing villages, cliff walks, bird sanctuaries and much more.
The Country town of Taunton, with excellent shops and art galleries, and the Cathedral City of Exeter are both within a 30-minute drive. Also, there are numerous seaside resorts such as Sidmouth, Seaton, Branscombe, Beer and Lyme Regis very close by
